Please remember this day when the United States was attacked at Pearl Habor.

pete...with all due respect to you and with chewing this over since seeing your post...

i just gotta say something- we have Veterans Day and we have Memorial Day...if we are to recognize individual days of tragedies...then my feeling is we need to also include the day we unleashed our atomic bombs on japan...

i know we ended the war...and i know, like with Pearl Harbor- innocents were killed...but to "remember" this date for more than just another day of the year, to me, just makes some feel anger towards the Japanese- and , again, my opinion is, its time to forgive.

lets keep vets day and memorial day alive but lets let die the acts done to us and we ask forgiveness or maybe just understanding for the acts we have done...

somewhere i think there is a line..."forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us."

not anything personal pete...at least against you- mebe it's just a personal thing to this American.

I'll always remember this date too..Pearl Harbor has a special meaning for me. I'll especially remember the USS Arizona....We all have special dates that are meaningful to us...how nice we can share them.
